Cancellation & Return Policy

At Fabric Tales, customer satisfaction is our top priority. We are committed to delivering premium-quality unstitched branded fabrics with care, precision, and transparency. Our Cancellation & Return Policy has been designed to ensure that you have a smooth and trustworthy experience while shopping with us.

This policy outlines the terms for cancelling orders, requesting returns, processing refunds, and handling defective or damaged products.

 

1. ORDER CANCELLATION

You may cancel your order under the following conditions:

A. Before Dispatch:

  • Orders can be cancelled within 3 hours of placing them or before the order is dispatched, whichever is earlier.
  • To cancel, email us at admin@fabrictales.in with your order number 

B. After Dispatch:

  • Once your order is dispatched from our warehouse, it cannot be cancelled.
  • In such cases, you may initiate a return after receiving the product, subject to the return terms mentioned below.

C. Cancellation by Fabric Tales:

We reserve the right to cancel any order under the following circumstances:

  1. Product is out of stock or discontinued
  2. Pricing or listing errors
  3. Non-serviceable delivery location
  4. Unresponsive customer despite multiple attempts to confirm an order

In all such cases, any amount paid will be refunded in full to your original payment method.

 

2. RETURN POLICY

We do provide all our customers with an option to return a product within 7 days from the date of delivery. Since we deal in cut-length unstitched fabric, returns are subject to specific conditions to protect both the buyer and the seller. Please read the following carefully:

A. Return Eligibility:

You may request a return if:

  • You didn't like the product quality or have changed your mind about the purchase
  • The item received is damaged, defective, or incorrect
  • You notify us within 7 days of delivery
  • The product is unused, unwashed, and in original condition with tags and packaging intact

We do not accept returns in the following cases:

  • Product has been cut, stitched, washed, altered, or used
  • Color variation due to screen resolution or lighting
  • Any fabric marked as “Clearance,” “Sale,” “Custom Cut,” or “Non-returnable” on the product page
  • Return request is raised 7 days after the original delivery date

B. Return Process:

  • Email us at admin@fabrictales.in within 7 days of of receiving the product, along with:
    • Order number
    • Images of the received item
    • Reason for return
    • Our team will review your request within 1–2 working days and approve or reject it based on eligibility
    • If approved, we will arrange reverse pickup or guide you to ship it back to us, depending on your location

    Note: Reverse pickup may not be available in all pin codes. In such cases, you will need to self-ship the product. We will reimburse up to ₹150 against a valid courier receipt.

     

    3. REFUND POLICY

    Once we receive the returned item and it passes our quality check, your refund will be processed as follows:

    A. Refund Methods:

    • Prepaid Orders: Refunded to original payment source (credit/debit card, UPI, wallet, etc.)
    • Cash on Delivery (COD): Refunded via bank transfer (we will request your account details)

    B. Refund Timeline:

    Refunds are typically credited to the original payment method or bank account within 5–7 business days after receipt and quality check of the returned item.

    Refunds for prepaid orders may take up to 7–10 business days to reflect depending on the bank/payment gateway.

     

    4. EXCHANGE POLICY

    We do not offer direct product exchanges due to fabric-based inventory being cut-to-order. If you wish to order a different product:

    1. Please initiate a return (if eligible)
    2. Place a fresh order for the new item you want

     

    5. DAMAGED / WRONG PRODUCT DELIVERY

    If you have received a defective, damaged, or wrong product, please contact us immediately:

    1. Raise a complaint within 7 days of delivery
    2. Share clear photos and unboxing video (recommended for faster resolution)
    3. We will offer a replacement (subject to availability) or a full refund
    4. No claim will be entertained beyond 72 hours of delivery
    5. We will deliver the exchanged product within 7 days

    7. LEGAL TERMS

    Fabric Tales reserves the right to modify this policy at any time without prior notice.

    All disputes arising out of returns, cancellations, or refunds shall be subject to jurisdiction of courts in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India.
